In what's become a running theme this season, the Williamson Warriors gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Sayre with a sharp 38-15 win. Given Williamson's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while Sayre is ranked 665th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Williamson found their leader in underclassman Kenna Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Madisen Jones was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
The win (which was Williamson's third in a row) raised their record to 10-2. As for Sayre, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Williamson will head out on the road to take on Canton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Canton will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Sayre will take on Athens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
