The Eastlake Titans will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Mira Mesa Marauders at 10:30 a.m. on January 15th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Eastlake earned a 46-36 win over Otay Ranch.
Eastlake got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jada White out in front who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. White also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Worley, who scored six points along with 17 rebounds and six blocks.
Meanwhile, Mira Mesa waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 42-31 win over University City. That's two games straight that Mira Mesa has won by exactly 11 points.
Eastlake is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Mira Mesa, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-9.
Everything came up roses for Eastlake against Mira Mesa when the teams last played back in December of 2021 as the squad secured a 61-20 victory. With Eastlake ahead 41-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
