Liberty extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 11-17 in the process. They fell 8-5 to the Stockdale Mustangs. On the hitting side, Brodie Snow was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Brogan Witcher, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
As for Stockdale, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games.
On Stockdale's side, Ethan Madriaga was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Madriaga a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Saunders, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.
