The Tehachapi Warriors stacked a 20th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. Everything went their way against North as Tehachapi made off with a 62-37 win. The victory was familiar territory for Tehachapi who now have 16 in a row.
Tehachapi's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kennedy Perkins, who scored 19 points along with four blocks. Perkins is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played. Riley Walden was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Tehachapi is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season. As for North, they dropped their record down to 12-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Tehachapi will take on the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Warriors are ranked 154th). As for North, they will be playing at home against the Blades at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Bakersfield and the Stars are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
