Bucktail is 0-4 against South Williamsport since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bucktail Bucks will head out on the road to face off against the South Williamsport Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bucktail had to endure a three-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Montgomery by a score of 36-28 on Monday.
Meanwhile, South Williamsport scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 52-24 win over Montgomery at home. The victory was just what South Williamsport needed coming off of a 48-26 loss in their prior game.
The victory got Bucktail back to even at 1-1. South Williamsport's record is now 1-3.
Bucktail was dealt a bruising 52-19 loss at the hands of South Williamsport in their previous meeting back in February. Can Bucktail avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
