Softball Recap: Odessa Wins Going Away Against Marshall

Odessa barely beat Marshall the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the Owls on Wednesday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

The win snapped Odessa's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-7 record. As for Marshall, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Odessa will take on Harrisonville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Marshall, they will head out on the road to challenge Moberly at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
