Dexter won the last time they faced Hot Springs and things went their way  on Friday too. The Demons breezed past the Tigers to the tune of  41-14. The result was nothing new for the Demons, who have now won six matchups by 27  points or more  so far this season.
 Dexter was led to victory by  Garet Gonzalez and  Cj Granados.  Gonzalez rushed for 121 yards and two  TDs on only eight carries, while  Granados threw for 153 yards and three  touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. That's the most  passing touchdowns  Granados has posted since back in November of 2024.
 Although Hot Springs took the loss, they still got scores from  Ruben Saenz Jr and  Zaiden Baker.
The  win was  the fifth in a row for Dexter, bringing their record up to 7-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.4 points on average over those games. As for Hot Springs, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dexter will  challenge  rival Socorro  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Hot Springs is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Cobre  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
