Basketball Recap: Millennium Falls Despite Big Games from Bella Tran and Sarah Digiallonardo

Millennium managed to keep up with Venture Academy until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Millennium Falcons lost 65-41 to the Venture Academy Mustangs. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Millennium's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sarah Digiallonardo, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 boards, and Bella Tran, who posted 16 points. Digiallonardo is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last seven games she's played.

Venture Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kelyiana Neal, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 steals. Kaylie Watkins was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 7-5. As for Venture Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Millennium wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-21 win against Big Valley Christian on the 7th. As for Venture Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-35 defeat against Franklin on the 7th.
