The Soledad Aztecs stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They never let North Salinas onto the board and left with a 6-0 win. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Soledad considering their one-goal performance the match before.
They hit North Salinas with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Giselle Zepeda (2),
Myrin Amilpa (2),
Precious Aguilera, and
Jennifer Troncoso.
Soledad's win bumped their record up to 13-3-2. As for North Salinas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12-2.
Soledad will head out on the road to take on Carmel at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carmel will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 842nd, while Soledad is ranked 305th). As for North Salinas, they will head out on the road to face off against Seaside at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Seaside's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 16 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
