The Covenant Christian Academy Rams will head out to square off against the Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Covenant Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
Covenant Christian Academy will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Unity Christian on Friday. The Rams put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 15-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Garrison Barton made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Covenant Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Bo Reid, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ryan Kennedy, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Covenant Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Unity Christian only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Johnson Ferry Christian Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Harvester Christian Academy last Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 8-7. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Johnson Ferry Christian Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason West, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Zachary Grayson was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Johnson Ferry Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Covenant Christian Academy, their record is now 8-3.
Johnson Ferry Christian Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Covenant Christian Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.3 hits per game. It's a different story for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Covenant Christian Academy's sizable advantage in that area, the Saints will need to find a way to close that gap.
Covenant Christian Academy took their win against Johnson Ferry Christian Academy when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 13-5 score.
