Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emiko Tanaka and Isabel Humphrey Lead Lodi to Victory

There's no place like home for Lodi, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They skirted past the Kimball Jaguars 48-45. That's more bragging rights for the Flames, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lodi was led to victory by Isabel Humphrey and Emiko Tanaka. Humphrey went 6 of 11 on her way to 14 points and five boards, while Tanaka posted 19 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Tanaka has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Natalie Cox, who earned three points and six boards.

Lodi smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Kimball still got an impressive performance from Emma Coronado, who went 9 for 22 en route to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emaan Khaliqik, who put up 12 points.

Lodi is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. As for Kimball, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.

Lodi didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-20 defeat against St. Mary's on the 30th. Kimball has also already played their next contest, a 39-36 victory against West on the 27th.
