Dymally is 0-10 against the Monarchs since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Dymally Challengers will head out on the road to square off against the Harbor Teacher Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Dymally scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They strolled past Locke with points to spare, taking the game 31-12. The victory was just what Dymally needed coming off of a 54-7 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Harbor Teacher put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 83-13 win over Port of Los Angeles on the road. Harbor Teacher has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Munachimso Emegwa continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 39 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Misae Coleman was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Dymally's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Harbor Teacher, they pushed their record up to 14-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Dymally was dealt a bruising 61-6 defeat at the hands of the Monarchs in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Emegwa, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten steals. Now that Dymally knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
