The Torres Toros will square off against the Maywood CES Wolfpack at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Torres is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Torres' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Maywood Academy with a sharp 11-0 win. Considering the Toros have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Juan Barajas and Rey Barreras made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Barajas didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Barreras pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Barajas went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Barreras went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Those three hits gave Barreras a new career-high.
In other batting news, Angel Tostado and Jouse Solis Rojas did most of the damage at the plate: Tostado went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Solis Rojas went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave Tostado a new career-high. Derek Velez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Torres was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Maywood CES came up short against Beverly Hills on Saturday and fell 10-6.
Maywood CES now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Torres, their record is now 10-1-1.
Torres skirted past Maywood CES 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Toros repeat their success, or do the Wolfpack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
