Wyoming Area was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They took a  blow against the Valley View Cougars, falling  54-26. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings  (they are ranked 455th, while the Cougars are ranked 49th).
 Despite the  loss, Wyoming Area saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Abigail Sterba  posted ten  points in addition to five  rebounds and three  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Addison Gaylord, who  put up five points and five  boards.
Wyoming Area's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Valley View, their win bumped their record up to 19-4.
 Wyoming Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley View, they will host Honesdale  at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
