The Le Grand Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Waterford Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Le Grand has six straight wins, Waterford has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Le Grand barely beat Denair the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Le Grand put the hurt on Denair with a sharp 11-1 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won four games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Diego Martinez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Le Grand got a big performance out of Fabian Meza, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Johnathan Benavidez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Le Grand always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denair only posted an OBP of .400.
Meanwhile, Waterford came up short against Delhi on Wednesday, falling 11-1.
Le Grand pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Waterford, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Le Grand took their win against Waterford in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-2. Does Le Grand have another victory up their sleeve, or will Waterford turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
