Softball Recap: Mediapolis Drops Season-High Score on West Burlington

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mediapolis). They put the hurt on the West Burlington Falcons with a sharp 15-8 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Mediapolis has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for West Burlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.

Mediapolis wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Wapello on the 27th. As for West Burlington, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-1 defeat against Davenport West on the 28th.
