Basketball Recap: Tehachapi Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

If Rosamond wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Tehachapi, they should've done a better job of containing Koree Rodden. The Warriors walked away with a 40-33 victory over the Roadrunners on Friday thanks in part to Rodden, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. The game was her third in a row with at least 17 points.

Several Roadrunners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abigail Cardoza, who posted 11 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Priscilla Ponce, who had ten points and six rebounds.

Tehachapi pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points on average over those games. As for Rosamond, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Tehachapi has already played their next matchup, a 34-30 win against Stockdale on the 9th. As for Rosamond, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-13 victory against Desert on the 10th.
