The Canyon Cowboys had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They strolled past West Ranch with points to spare, taking the game 57-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Canyon also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Canyon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kodia ?Koko? Booker led the charge by scoring 18 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Escribano, who scored 17 points.
Canyon's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for West Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canyon will take on Westlake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Westlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 last Monday. As for West Ranch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saugus at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Saugus is ranked 171st, while West Ranch is ranked 184th).
