The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. James, who took down 254th ranked New Ulm, 30-14.
Waseca added to the longest winning streak in South Central this week by beating Blue Earth, 30-12. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Bluejays.
The Eagles' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Blake Piotter threw for 47 yards and Jackson Yackley had 20 yards receiving. On the ground Piotter contributed 63 yards. Tyler Dittrich helped New Ulm's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 27 yards.
Yackley was the best wideout in the league this week as New Ulm fell to the Saints. Yackley racked up 2 receptions for 20 yards. Dittrich helped New Ulm's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 27 yards.
New Ulm's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Piotter has thrown for 166 yards this season, while Yackley has 12 catches for 135 yards.
The Buccaneers are currently in second, while St. Peter is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Blue Earth takes on the Saints. The Buccaneers have allowed 61 points this season, while St. Peter has given up 89.
St. James scaled the state rankings by moving to 236 from 267 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Saints climbed the ranks as a result of besting Tony Ortmann's team 30-14.
