On the hitting side, Jack Foscalina was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Las Lomas' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-0-1 (and 6-9 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Wright, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, San Rafael hadn't done well against San Marin recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 7-2.
The team relied heavily on Cruz Wexler, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Chick, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.
Las Lomas' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for San Rafael, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-12.
Las Lomas skirted past San Rafael 2-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2019. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
