There's no place like home for the Frontier Titans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Ridgeview out 59-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Frontier got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexis Tinnin out in front who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Tinnin is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last four games she's played. Lailene Araniva was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Several Wolf Pack players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aubrey Aldan, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kenadi Walton, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Ridgeview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Frontier only pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.
Frontier's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Ridgeview, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frontier will take on the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Stockdale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1030th, while the Titans are ranked 393rd). As for Ridgeview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
