Baseball Recap: Burroughs Has No Trouble Against Hesperia

Burroughs never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Hesperia on Tuesday. They blew past the Scorpions 10-1. The result was nothing new for the Burros, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Burroughs let Colby Bachman and Joaquin Vasquez run wild. Bachman scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Vasquez scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Bachman has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kanon Schiller, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Burroughs' victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Hesperia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Burroughs will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Scorpions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
