The Ursuline Fighting Irish will head out on the road to face off against the Washington Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Ursuline sitting on five straight wins and Washington on three.
Even though East scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, Ursuline still came out on top. Ursuline blew past East 82-57. That looming 82-57 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Ursuline yet this season.
Ursuline found their leader in underclassman Myles Miller, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Gunther, who scored 13 points along with six assists.
Meanwhile, even though Walsh Jesuit scored an imposing 60 points on Saturday, Washington still came out on top. Washington secured a 66-60 W over Walsh Jesuit.
Ursuline pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19.71 points. As for Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Everything went Ursuline's way against Washington when the teams last played back in January as Ursuline made off with a 67-46 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Washington's Elijah Farrington, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 rebounds.
