After three games on the road, Homer-Center is heading back home. The Homer-Center Wildcats and the Penns Manor Comets will face off at 4:15 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Homer-Center will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Penns Manor is ranked 96th).
Homer-Center suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Wednesday. Their tough 54-33 defeat to Portage might stick with them for a while.
Meanwhile, Penns Manor put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Purchase Line 64-25 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Penns Manor who now have eight in a row.
Homer-Center's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Penns Manor, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
