Biggs has won five straight games at home, while Quincy has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Wolverines will host the Trojans at 2:00 p.m. One thing working in Biggs' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
Biggs is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Williams last Tuesday as they made off with an 18-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won seven in a row.
Collin Beck was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Matthew Martin, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Biggs' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). Brady Smith was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Biggs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 7-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Quincy hadn't beaten Chester on the road since March 17, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Trojans came out on top against the Volcanoes by a score of 6-1.
Like Biggs, Quincy also got a great game from a two-way player: Jake Thackeray. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Thackeray was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Thackeray wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Schmid, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Biggs' victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Quincy, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Biggs has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .483. However, it's not like Quincy struggles in that department as they've averaged .460. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Biggs suffered a grim 11-4 defeat to Quincy in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Will the Wolverines have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
