In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elijah Haren, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braysen Stevens, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Pleasanton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gonzales only posted an OBP of .391.
Meanwhile, Columbia got themselves on the board against Stafford on Monday, but Stafford never followed suit. They blew past the Spartans 13-0. The victory continues a trend for the Roughnecks in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won eight in a row.
Cade Thoe was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He also got two hits, marking his first of the season.
Pleasanton's record now sits at 4-2-1. As for Columbia, their record is now 5-1.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pleasanton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. However, it's not like Columbia struggles in that department as they've averaged .390. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pleasanton got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in February of 2025 against Columbia by a conclusive 11-4 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Roughnecks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
