If Bakersfield Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Vanden, they should've done a better job of containing Templeton Fountaine V. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Eagles 60-58 thanks in part to Fountaine V, who shot 57% from the field on his way to 22 points along with three steals and three blocks. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Kimani Dokes was another key player, putting up six points. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Vanden and bumps their season record up to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Bakersfield Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Vanden will host Oakland Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bakersfield Christian, they will square off against Harvard-Westlake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Wolverines have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
