Archbishop Ryan has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the La Salle College Explorers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop Ryan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully the Explorers like a good challenge.
Last Monday, Archbishop Ryan faced the Crusaders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Archbishop Ryan came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of 69-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Thomas Sorber continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 16 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Darren Williams, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, La Salle College was fully in charge on Wednesday, breezing past the Crusaders 66-36 at home. With La Salle College ahead 41-19 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Archbishop Ryan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for La Salle College, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11.
Archbishop Ryan strolled past the Explorers in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 55-37. Does Archbishop Ryan have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Explorers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
