Contra Costa Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 71-25 defeat at the hands of Cornerstone Christian. While losing is never fun, Contra Costa Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 776th, while Cornerstone Christian is ranked 177th).
Meanwhile, Holy Names scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on California School for the Deaf with a sharp 45-21 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Holy Names has managed all season.
Contra Costa Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-7. As for Holy Names, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.
Contra Costa Christian strolled past Holy Names when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 46-30. Does Contra Costa Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Holy Names turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
