Baseball Recap: Delano Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Delano entered their tilt with McFarland on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 15-5 victory. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Delano let Luke Allred and Carlos Contreras run wild. Allred scored a run while getting on base in four of his seven plate appearances, while Contreras scored two runs while going 3-for-5. What's more, Allred posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March.

Delano kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Delano's record is now 6-10. As for McFarland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8-1.

Delano will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Tigers are facing the Thunderbirds at the right time seeing as the Thunderbirds are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for McFarland, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Frazier Mountain at 12:00 p.m.
