Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only High School of the Future walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 56-39 victory over the Knights on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for High School of the Future as they're now sitting on six straight.
High School of the Future had a senior duo take command as Jahanna Mitchell scored 19 points and Siani Shelton scored 16 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Mitchell has scored at least a third of High School of the Future's points. Symphany Hinson was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Despite the loss, Mastery Charter Hardy Williams still got an impressive performance from Eva Noel-Studevan, who scored 37 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Noel-Studevan has scored all season.
High School of the Future has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Mastery Charter Hardy Williams, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14-1 record this season.
High School of the Future will head out on the road to take on Carver High School of Engineering & Science at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Carver High School of Engineering & Science focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Thursday. Mastery Charter Hardy Williams does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
