After a string of five wins, the Manteca Buffaloes's good fortune finally ran out  on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against St. Mary, falling  92-34. Manteca was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  49-21.
 When it comes to explaining why Manteca lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Jada Ikharo. Despite the final result, she  scored 19 points.
 Manteca's defeat  ended a six-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 21-5. As for St. Mary's, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manteca will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against the Mustangs at 7:30  p.m.  on February 1st. Oakdale will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 732nd, while the Buffaloes are ranked 135th). As for St. Mary's, they will head out on the road to  take on  the Bulldogs at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
