If Patterson was feeling good fresh off their 60-37 takedown of Argonaut last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patterson Tigers lost to the Riverbank Bruins on the road by a 56-39 margin on Friday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Patterson's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Joliz Uhatafe, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Alyse Lomeli, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Goins, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Riverbank's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leilani Olanolan, who went 9 of 16 on her way to 23 points and three steals. Olanolan is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Macias, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points and three blocks.

Patterson's loss dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Riverbank, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Patterson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-40 victory against Pitman on the 28th. As for Riverbank, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 60-46 defeat against Mountain House on the 28th.
