The Moreno Valley Vikings will face off against the JW North Huskies at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Moreno Valley will be strutting in after a victory while JW North will be coming in after a loss.
Moreno Valley barely beat Orange Vista the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings blew past the Coyotes 8-1 on Tuesday. Considering the Vikings have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

C. Logan was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Moreno Valley's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-9 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of EJ Jaramillo, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.
Meanwhile, JW North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Citrus Hill, falling 14-6.
Nicolas Zepeda made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ian Moreno Zavala, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Moreno Valley's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-9. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for JW North, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Moreno Valley has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like JW North struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Moreno Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against JW North when the teams last played on April 10th, sneaking past 6-4. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
