After losing to the Soquel Knights the last time they met, the Salinas Cowboys decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Salinas blew past Soquel 52-29.
Leading Salinas to victory were Alice Uchida and Andrea Nava. Uchida scored 13 points, while Nava scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Chavez, who scored 7 points.
Salinas now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Soquel, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salinas will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rancho San Juan at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for Soquel, they will head out on the road to face off against Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carmel is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
