The Las Lomas Knights will head out to challenge the Moreau Catholic Mariners at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Las Lomas came out on top against Saint Mary's by a score of 4-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Thomas Wood looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jack Foscalina, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Harrison May was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, while Moreau Catholic put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Hayward. Moreau Catholic was the clear victors by a 23-0 margin over Hayward. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mariners needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.
Gary Elizarrey and Aiden Perry made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Elizarrey tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Perry didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Elizarrey scored five runs while going 4-for-5, while Perry went 2-for-6 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Andrew Perry was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitchell Ten Bosch, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
The victory got Las Lomas back to even at 1-1. As for Moreau Catholic, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Las Lomas couldn't quite finish off Moreau Catholic in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can Las Lomas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
