Meanwhile, Highlands ended up a good deal behind Golden Sierra on Friday and lost 42-28.
Rio Vista's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Highlands, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Rio Vista suffered a grim 56-30 defeat to Highlands in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Rio Vista avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
