The Reed Raiders were the 67-55 winner over the Fernley Vaqueros when they last played one another back in December of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. Reed fell just short of Fernley by a score of 53-51. Reed has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Peterson, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. Dominic Williams was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with 5 rebounds.
Fernley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Winters, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 steals. Another player making a difference was Bryce Dunagan-Stephens, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds.
Reed's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fernley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Reed's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fairmont Prep at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. Fernley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hug at 5:30 p.m. on November 30th.
