The Mifflin County Huskies kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost to Greencastle-Antrim on the road by a decisive 47-33 margin. Mifflin County lost against Greencastle-Antrim in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 47-43 score last time.
Greencastle-Antrim was led to victory by Haley Noblit and Ainsley Swindell. Noblit scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds, while Swindell dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Noblit has scored at least 25% of Greencastle-Antrim's points. Kylie Kerns was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Mifflin County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Greencastle-Antrim, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Mifflin County will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Guilfoyle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Greencastle-Antrim, they will head out on the road to face off against Carlisle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
