The Workman Lobos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their tenth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Nogales at home and fell 66-34. Workman has struggled against the Nobles recently, as their match on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Nogales was led to victory by Ariana Martinez and Jordin Glass. Martinez scored 20 points, while Glass scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Martinez has scored all season. Shady Robles was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Workman's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Nogales, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Workman will challenge the Aztecs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Nogales' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st. Duarte and the Nobles are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
