The Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers will venture away from home to take on the Gatewood Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Fellowship Christian Academy has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Having struggled with 13 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Central Fellowship Christian Academy turned things around against Covenant Academy on Thursday. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 16-12. The Lancers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Matthew Albritton made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-5. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.

Roberts has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Roberts wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Drew Love, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Central Fellowship Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 17-5 defeat they got from Gatewood in their previous matchup on Tuesday. Can Central Fellowship Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
