Crescenta Valley had to kick off their season on the road last Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 57-32 margin over La Canada.
Kylie Ray had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Keira Calaguas, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles CES beat Crossroads 55-48 on Thursday.
Katie Chiba was on fire: she scored 28 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mila Sano, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Crescenta Valley's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Los Angeles CES, their win bumped their record up to an identical 1-0.
