Baseball Recap: Hilmar Has No Trouble Against Orestimba

Hilmar won the last time they faced Orestimba and things went their way on Thursday too. The Yellowjackets blew past the Warriors 11-1. Considering the Yellowjackets have won five contests by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Xavier Silveira spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Jacob Sward and Junior Solis did most of the damage at the plate: Sward went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI, while Solis went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. That's the most doubles Sward has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of John Lopez, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Hilmar's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-6. As for Orestimba, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Hilmar wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-4 defeat against Pacheco on the 6th. As for Orestimba, they have also already played their next game, an 8-3 loss against Mariposa County on the 6th.
