Kennedy has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Crean Lutheran Saints at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Kennedy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 613th, while Crean Lutheran is ranked 126th).
Last Friday, Kennedy came up short against Valencia and fell 47-36.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Raeann Williams, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Madeleine Hsu was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Crean Lutheran entered their tilt with Tustin with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Crean Lutheran took down Tustin 42-28 on Friday.
Kennedy's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-14. As for Crean Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Kennedy was taken down by Crean Lutheran 68-32 when the teams last played on January 5th. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Kennedy was down 40-20.
