Florence has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Jasper Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Florence knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Jasper likes a good challenge.
Florence pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Vicksburg an easy 78-56 win.
Meanwhile, Jasper came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Minor by a score of 45-36.
Florence's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Jasper, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
