Downtown Magnets is 8-2 against USC-MAE since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. Downtown Magnets' 11-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 40-15 walloping at the hands of Orthopaedic on Friday.
The losing side was boosted by Melody Kuang, who scored 13 points along with 4 blocks. She scored a full 86.7% of Downtown Magnets' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, USC-MAE strolled past Aspire Ollin with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 38-22. The victory made it back-to-back wins for USC-MAE.
The losses dropped Downtown Magnets to 0-5 and Orthopaedic to 1-6.
