The Patrick Henry Patriots lost against the University City Centurions back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Patrick Henry took a hard 32-18 fall against University City.
Despite the loss, Patrick Henry still got an impressive performance from Maddox Weisskopf, who scored three points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Weisskopf grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cecelia Parker, who scored three points along with eight rebounds.
Leading University City to victory were Chaya Scott and Kianna LeFear. Scott scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals, while LeFear scored 14 points along with six rebounds. LeFear continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Patrick Henry has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for University City, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Patrick Henry will look to defend their home court on Friday against San Diego at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully San Diego focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for University City, they will head out on the road to square off against Mira Mesa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mira Mesa will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
