Norwalk faced Johnston in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Dragons. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 18 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Norwalk and bumps their season record up to 29-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Johnston, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-15.

Norwalk has already played their next contest (against Wahlert), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Johnston will be paying especially close attention to the Warriors' game: after the Warriors face off against the Golden Eagles, they'll take on Johnston again at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
