After flying high against the Mariposa County Grizzlies on Tuesday, the Chowchilla Tribe came back down to earth. Chowchilla had to suffer through a rough 66-20 loss at the hands of Madera. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Chowchilla has scored all season.
Bella Gonsalves was Chowchilla's leading scorer, having posted ten points.
Marlee Newton held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Chowchilla's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Madera, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Chowchilla will head out on the road to face off against Edison at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Edison knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Chowchilla likes a good challenge. Madera won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mendota at 7:00 p.m. on December 9th. Mendota is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
