The El Capitan Gauchos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 26 points or more this season. They took their match on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 55-21 win over Golden Valley. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-4.
El Capitan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madysen Dietz out in front who scored 12 points along with eight steals. The contest was Dietz's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Felicity Parker, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
El Capitan's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points per game. As for Golden Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
El Capitan will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Patterson at 7:15 p.m. Patterson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Golden Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
